If you are running a firewall and VMware Server 2, there are 2 main ports you will need to create firewall exceptions for.
These are:
TCP: 8333
TCP: 902
8333 allows https access to the VMware infrastructure web access.
902 allows the VMware server console to connect.
These are the default ports, if during configuration you specified non default ports you will need to create exceptions for these and not the values stated above.
